ORDERING PHOTOS

 

HOW DO I PURCHASE PRINTS OF THE SUMMER CAMP PHOTOS?

Smugmug is partnered with a professional photo development company called EZprints. When you order prints of our digital photos, digital copies are sent to EZprints, they develop the photos, and then send you the final prints. (more Smugmug photo info) 

Step 1

Select the year on the right menu. Select the camp session. Select the session day. Find the photo.

Step 2

Select the small thumbnail of the photo that you wish to purchase. A larger image of the photo will be visible. Above the larger photo, click on 'Buy'. A drop down menu will appear. Click on 'This Photo'. 

Step 3

On the order menu, there will be two tabs, print and mechandise. Select the one you want by clicking on the tab. Select the Product(s) and Quantity. Then click 'Checkout'.

IMPORTANT: SmugMug automactically crops photos when needed. Under certain circumstances, this may result in the cropping of a very small portion of the photo. In 99.9% of the cases, it will not make a difference in the quality of the photo. In your shopping cart, you will have the opportunity to change the cropped area. Choosing 'None' (meaing no crop) on pictures that are automactically cropped by SmugMug may result in white lines around some of the edges. This is due to the size ratio of the digital photos as taken by various digital cameras. The crop area can be adjusted by clicking on 'Adjust' next to the picture in the shopping cart.

Step 4

Click on 'Continue Browsing Photos' to continue shopping and add more photos to your shopping cart OR click on 'Checkout' to purchase the items in your shopping cart.

Step 5

After making payment, the photos and/or merchandise will be mailed to the given address.

 

WHO IS TAKING ALL OF THESE PHOTOS?

99% of the photos are taken by our multimedia interns. They have digital cameras permanently attached to their hands and therefore are taking photos at every waking moment. Almost. After taking the photos, they delete the bad ones, then upload the good ones to photos.camptejas.org in one of the many photo galleries.

WHERE ARE THE SUMMER CAMP PHOTOS?

You can find the photos here. These digital photos are not at Tejas, but on servers owned and operated by an excellent online photo management service called Smugmug (www.smugmug.com). Smugmug owns and manages the online software that we use to store and display the thousands of photos we take each year.
